Want to make amazing slow-motion or fast-forward videos on your Android phone? Or stunning slideshows with music and effects? Movavi Clips will help you edit your videos on the go and share your creations on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube.

Key features

Just like Movavi video editor for Windows and macOS, Movavi Clips allows you to split, merge, rotate, and trim your movies using a handy timeline view and tweak the brightness and saturation parameters. The app comes with multiple built-in music tracks, filters, and stickers. Moreover, you can add funny fragments to your video many times using the Duplicate segments option. Add a logo on your video, insert text and adjust its position, size, and color, and slow down or speed up your movies. The app is free and displays no ads, but contains in-app purchases.

Drawbacks

Unfortunately, to get the voiceover feature, you will have to pay. Moreover, you’ll keep getting a watermark on the output until your purchase the Premium version. Other downsides of Movavi Clips include poor output quality after video conversion, a limited number of transitions and the lack of a blurring option.

Alternatives

One of the alternatives to Movavi video editor, KineMaster, is a pretty powerful clip maker that comes with audio filters, chroma key, voice recording, blending modes, and other great features. However, to remove watermark and ads you will have to buy the $4.99 per month subscription.

Another rival app to Movavi video editor is PowerDirector. The app offers literally hundreds of templates and effects. It allows working with PiP overlays, adding voiceovers, and create green screen videos. You can enjoy most of its functions for free, but if you want to remove watermark, ads, and get an option to save videos in 1080 and 4K resolutions, you’ll need a monthly or yearly subscription.

Conclusion

Movavi Clips offers all basic video editing features and an intuitive interface. It comes with no ads and provides a unique feature of duplicating the best moments in your videos. However, the app has no voice recording or chroma key options and, honestly, for the same price you can get a better deal.
